Clear Ear Cheer: Expert Ear Care with a Personal Touch

My name is Jon, and I am a qualified Ear Health Practitioner as well as the founder of Clear Ear Cheer—a mobile ear care service serving Essex and Suffolk. I established Clear Ear Cheer to address the need for local ear health services by providing clinical care directly to older adults in familiar, comfortable settings.

With formal training, strong ethical values, and a commitment to transparency, I take pride in offering a service that is both professional and personal.

My mission is to provide safe and affordable ear health screenings, earwax removal, and ongoing support for hearing-related issues. I work with individuals, care homes, businesses, medical practices, and pharmacies.

Although I began my career in telecoms—where precision and client trust were essential—my roots have always been in caregiving. I first trained as a Foot Health Practitioner before transitioning into the telecoms industry, and I come from a family of nurses. Caregiving has consistently shaped how I approach ear health today: with empathy, patience, and respect.

Driven by the challenges I have observed related to hearing loss and communication with family members, I completed specialised training with the Healthcare Professional Institute (HCPI) to become an ear care clinician. I am fully insured, DBS-checked, and committed to safeguarding best practices. Through ongoing professional development (CPD), I stay updated on the latest advancements in ear health.

Using advanced camera and microscope technology, I provide gentle and effective care in the comfort of your home or workplace.

I particularly enjoy working with older adults and those in care settings, where I am often affectionately referred to as “The Ear Man.”

Clear Ear Cheer is a family-supported service, with my wife assisting behind the scenes, allowing me to focus entirely on client care. As the sole clinician for now, I offer dedicated attention to each individual while building trusted relationships with care homes and clients across Essex and Suffolk.

I plan to expand the team in the near future to meet increasing demand and broaden our reach.
